After high school Dalli plans to attend Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo California to study Equine Science. She plans to be on the Cal Poly Performance Horse Team and show working cow-horses. Her passion for horses began when she was a young girl while her mother was working as the Equine Barn Manger for Stephen F. Austin State University. Dalli would ride the bus to the barn and arena everyday to spend her afternoon with the college kids, learning how to care for and manage horses. The
Equine Professor Dr Joe Gotti quickly became an idol for her as she traveled with him and her mom throughout Texas and Louisiana showing stock horses.
Anyone who knows Dalli will say she is most proud of her 2018 AQHA blue roan gelding “Cats Steel Blue Moon” aka Steely. She was there soon after his birth and spent the day home from school bonding with him. She will be starting him this spring
and plans to take him to college with her to finish his training.
Dalli will be riding Rip her 2010 Quarter Horse dun gelding. This will be Rips first time as a royalty horse, he’s been used in the past for gaming and working on the ranch. She was the 2018 & 2019 flag carrier for Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days Royalty, so she’ll be able to guide Rip through the many challenges of being a royalty horse.
Dalli became a Pioneer Posse member in 2018 participating in barrels, poles, goats, stakes & jumping figure 8. Her favorite part about Posse nights are spending time with her horses and making new friends. She is looking forward to being the 2020 Pioneer Posse Queen and making many more memories.
